Schafli Manor is the historic settlers home on the Wild Coast, following the main coastal route (Schafli Road), from East London to Cintsa East.

This is the picture perfect family destination and romantic get-away. The old stables and out-buildings were converted to self-catering units, with amazing sea views and ocean vistas from the highest vantage point in the area. All rooms are en-suite, and there are unsurpassed views everywhere. Play ball games, relax in the large gardens among mature trees, enjoy al-fresco meals on sunny patios or plunge into the pool.

Enjoy modern and fabulous accommodation; luxurious yet relaxed seaside décor offers homely comfort, with only the best beds and linen. Walk across the road to the C-Club restaurant, scale the vast dunes or enjoy the miles and miles of wide sandy beaches with rock pools and coastal forest.Most visitors book for a few nights only to stay on for many more and then return time and again, awed by truly dazzling views, homely comfort and the dedicated service of managing hosts JJ and Freda Brown and Nomsa Joyi.

Beautiful Memories by

Schafli Manor was everything we imagined it to be. Mrs Brown was extremley helpful, the safe play area and swimming pool was the best part for our kids. Beautiful Decor and the sound of the ocean at night was an amazing experience. One have to book yourself in to feel that grace upon you when you sit relax and watch the beauty of the Ocean. We would most def stay there again.

Very central establishment from which to view all the interesting coastal areas in the vicinity by

Nomsa and her staff run a very efficient operation - congratulations !!!! Clean, comfortable, beautiful view from the rooms. Friendly and accommodating management and staff. One issue that we found to be very misleading was the fact that the advertisement for self catering accommodation for 4 people stated that there are 2 bedrooms en suite. One bedroom is certainly en suite but the second sleeping arrangement is certainly not suitable for 2 elderly couples ! Two beds are situated in an open plan kitchen, dinning room , lounge area. No privacy whatsoever !!!! A very small room with shower / toilet / basin leading directly off from the open plan arrangement. Nowhere to dress / undress, no facility to place toilet bags etc, and no facility for women to their hair / make-up etc. Fine for a family with small kids, but not for adult couples !!! Nomsa realized what the situation was and very kindly accommodated one couple in one of the rooms in the main house. This made our stay comfortable and memorable - thank you Nomsa !!! Please make potential visitors aware exactly what the sleeping arrangements are - NOT TWO en suite bedrooms, but ONE en suite bedroom and accommodation for an additional two people in an open plan kitchen/lounge/ dining room area, with shower and toilet with basin leading off this area. stayed overnight and found the place well equipped and well laid out. the additional bathroom was a good idea. the gas braai should be cleaned though.

Nicely decorated and lots of space. Tremendous sea views. Security needs vast improvement I. e. Cameras light sensor Gates etc. People apparently visit the house at night! Stole groceries and boos! This is totally unacceptable.

Apart from exquisite views, comfort and luxury ,this guest house can also be recommended for the hospitality of Nomsa.

Great views by

Originally we had booked a different unit to the one we stayed in as the room descriptions are very vague and does not clearly mention that there is only 1 bedroom and the other beds are open plan. The host did however change us to a more suitable unit where the main bedroom was enclosed. The unit is very nice and neat with great sea views but it smelt of braai smoke and the bin had a terrible fish smell. The open plan bathroom lights were also not working. The accommodation is also 100m away from a venue that host bands, so if you do not want to be woken up at 1 in the morning by drunk patrons I would not suggest you stay here.
