Selous Sunset Loge

Selous Sunset Lodge is located outside the eastern Mtemere Gate of the Selous Game Reserve in Southern Tanzania, on the banks of the Rufiji River.

The lodge offers guests a choice of staying in one of four en-suite Rooms or the Campsite, with all meals included in the rate and some activities at an additional cost. The Rooms are furnished with comfortable double beds and twin beds, and they have en-suite bathrooms with skylight showers. Tents are provided for those who choose to camp and the sites share the use of a men's and ladies' ablution block with showers. A kitchen area is also available with a table and a basin for doing the dishes. Please note that bookings for children below six years are not encouraged due to the proximity of wild animals around the lodge, and guests are encouraged to take precautions against malaria.

Guests can go on a boating or fishing safari, a nature and cultural walk depending on the season, or do some birdwatching. Various animals and birds are residents at the lodge, such as the black and white colobus monkey, the elephant shrew and weaver birds. Full day game drives can also be done in the Selous Game Reserve.
