Harmoniously nestled into the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem, set high on the Gambasage hill overlooking the famous Grumeti River, Serengeti Simba Lodge is situated on the main path of the annual ?Great Migration' of wildebeest and zebra. With awe-inspiring panoramic views of the vast savannah, Serengeti Simba Lodge is home to prolific bird life and a stunning array of large game including: lion, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, giraffe, elephant, bush buck, zebra, gazelle, topi and wildebeest. The vast wildebeest migration passes through our area twice a year on the annual trek through the Serengeti eco-system.

With all the romance of a tent and security of a permanent structure, the fifteen uniquely designed and beautifully furnished tented rondavels at Serengeti Simba Lodge are strategically placed for privacy and optimum views. Each spacious room has solar-generated power and hot water, an en-suite stone bathroom with a tub, shower and flush toilet, and a private outdoor stone shower. Mosquito nets are supplied, and each tent has a private deck area. A ?stone house' with six family rooms offering amazing vistas across the plains to the Grumeti River is also available..

Serengeti Simba Lodge was created to provide our guests with beautiful and comfortable accommodation in a magnificent wildlife area. Local materials and construction methods were used to disturb the environment as little as possible. The top of our amazing kopje is incorporated into the main building and our pool has a wide view across the Serengeti to the Grumeti River. You can enjoy an evening campfire while listening to the sounds of the bush and take the opportunity to eat breakfast outside in the fresh morning air. Serengeti Simba Lodge is committed to playing a role in improving the lives of the surrounding community, the people of the Ikoma tribe. In addition to providing vital employment opportunities, a bed night fee is paid to the local village council which helps fund development projects. We have plans to implement organic gardening projects to supply our kitchens and to assist with building projects at the local school. Our gift shop strives to stock craft and other items mostly produced in Tanzania.

Other facilities at the lodge include a lounge with a fireplace and a fully stocked bar, an infinity swimming pool, and internet access.
