Our visit to this venue and the lovely area of White River, Mpumalanga was a pleasant one. Host Sandy was friendly and provided area info about eateries, etc. which was helpful. The unit where we stayed was nicely decorated and clean. Although the wording stated that it was self-catering ? this is not entirely correct. There is no oven, stove, extractor ? but appliances like a microwave, single plate induction, electric frying pan, fridge has been included. The unit can probably sleep 4 people ? but would not say that it is family-friendly as there are at least 16 steps on an open steel staircase which would not be safe for children, this is also not undercover and the steep area where one parks away from the steps could be a problematic in rainy weather. We asked about a king-size bed (please see conversation on your portal) and was of the understanding that this was what we would have ? but it was not, so disappointing. Having a TV in the bedroom only and not the lounge was also not the norm and would have preferred the TV in the lounge instead of the bedroom. Having a photo of the family pool in the gallery of photos for the unit is somewhat misleading ? even if the wording states that you have access to the clubhouse pool (which is not in the best kept state at present). The unit is better suited to overflow family accommodation for the main house (as there is an interleading door into the house) rather than being rented out to paying guests.
