There is a king-size bed and a bathroom with a shower (no bath).The unit features a work desk & chair, air-conditioning, heating and a LCD TV with DStv. There is a fully equipped kitchen. There is an ironing board and iron. There is a two-seater lounge sofa. There is an outside braai facility, on-site parking in front of the entrance to the unit and more..........The apartment is booked as a unit per person per night sleeping up to a maximum of two persons...........We also supply towels, linen, crockery and cutlery and cooking utensils...............Self-catering; guests provide their own cleaning materials, food and toiletries. We do provide a limited quantity of cleaning materials and toiletries for each new guest arrival. Regretfully there is no dishwasher or washing machine or tumble dryer available in the unit...........Self-service: The unit is not serviced during guests' stay. Self-service guests are to do their own cooking, wash dishes, cleaning of the unit, make beds, etc...........Easy access to all major attractions, Baywest Shopping complex and other shopping centres, restaurants, take-aways, sport stadia and more............Only persons quoted and paid for may share the accommodation booked...........We are pet friendly (Small pets)..........R 500 refundable breakage and cleaning service fee payable for/with each booking received.......................Terms and conditions apply to all bookings.

Personal check from owner of the unit on booking & arrival added a nice touch. Would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to experience the Eastern Cape. We will highly recommend this guest flat to any traveller or visitor to Port Elizabeth. The flat is also well priced. We will definitely stay there during future visits! There is no door to the toilet and shower, only a curtain. No door to bedroom and an internal door opens into the owners home. No safe parking for car which is parked outside the unit close to a very busy road. My wife, a cancer sufferer, found it difficult to sleep due to the traffic noise right throughout the night, despite taking sleeping tablets.The Unit was very clean and the bed most comfortable with plenty of cupboard space. We found the owners, Pierre and Annamarie, very friendly and helpful and the price reasonable. The braai area is situated around the corner from the unit and is accessible through a locked gate from outside the unit.Establishment's response There is a fine line between comfortable and luxurious in the hospitality industry? A pair of cheap jeans and a pair of designer jeans look the same but with closer inspection you'll note the differences, same goes for the hospitality industry?. what one person rate as luxurious might be rated as comfortable by another and vis a vis, therefore we have tried our utmost best to equip the unit with upmarket finishes and equipment where possible an viable We would rate the following items as luxurious (upmarket) in any accommodation unit in the hospitality industry? our self-catering & self-service unit is also equipped with these

S/S 2 slice toaster Viewing the enlarge pictures of the apartment on the SafariNow website one can clearly see some of the above finishes in the apartment as well as the access to the bedroom, all pictures and marketing material displayed are a true reflection of the unit. As for the surrounding area, we are situated nearby 4 different shopping centres each within a 2km radius from the property. The road outside the property is busy during peak periods in the morning and late afternoon and is quite quiet during the evenings. The above surroundings is clearly visible from the satellite image on the Google map Parking is outside, on-site and directly in front of the entrance to the unit. One of our own vehicles is parked outside and has been parking there for the last 4 years without any incidents, therefore and according to us the parking is safe. During the day time armed security response vehicles is parked on the opposite side of the street of the apartment, serving the area. The internal door leads into a storage room that again leads into private property and is not accessible for guests staying at Seventeen on Sam, the internal door is locked during the entire guests stay and is only being used when guests require our attention and/or when guests have departed the unit after their stay in order for us to service the unit.
We are dealing with different persons and cultures throughout, therefore we treat all our guests with the same friendliness, dignity and respect they all deserve at all times and we try to assist our guests where possible.
The rate per night for the self-catering & self-service unit is more than reasonable as a person will not easily find similar accommodation, with the same upmarket finishes and equipment, for a cheaper price. SEVENTEEN ON SAM LAGE
