Sheppy Lodge is a self-contained, self-catering house set very privately in the bush in Marloth Park, quite close to, but not overlooking the river. Game wanders freely around and bird life is abundant with over 300 species having been catalogued in the area up to now. Access to the Kruger National Park is close by, via either the Crocodile Bridge gate or the Malelane gate. The house consists of two bedrooms with queen size beds in each, lounge, kitchen and full bathroom with shower. There are extra bunk beds for children or extra adults. The outside cottage has a double bed with shower and toilet. There is a lapa area with braai and fire pit as well as a dip pool which can seat about 6 adults in comfort. A small water hole in front of the house always brings a lot of bird life and animals in to drink. The house is fully self-contained with gas stove and oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer to keep the beers cool. There is both gas and electricity and ceiling fans throughout. All you need bring are personal items, food and drink.

amazing animal!! at your doorstep by

the place it self is wonderful. But the utensils en linen are very low quality. also the dining table wobbaly and not enough seats. the living space and couches has no cusions and not enough for 8 people. the braai is broken. the braai utensils is broken. not enough blankets. but other than this it is wonderful espesially the "nag appies" living at this house.

Establishment's response:

Thanks for your review Denise. Unfortunately, we have had a lot of
theft of utensils, bedding and various other items at Sheppy Lodge and
have had to replace with whatever we have been able to get locally. We
have also been forced, against our will, to institute a refundable
breakage deposit to try to negate this.
As regards seating for 8 people, we specify a maximum of 6 guests for
Sheppy Lodge.
I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay in our piece of Paradise though,
and hope that we can accommodate you again in the future.
Kind regards,
Mike & Ginny.
Sheppy Lodge.
