Set in the foothills of the majestic Swartberg range, in the shadow of the legendary Towerkop Peaks, are the three stylishly renovated, traditional worker's cottages. The farmland is surrounded by neatly tended vineyards, orchards and lucerne fields of neighbouring farmers and the homestead looks out onto the hills of a private game farm.
Each cottage has a comfortably appointed double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room and a private patio. All linen, towels, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils are provided. The cottages are each equipped with a small fridge and a stove. A hearty farm breakfast or a delicious dinner will be provided with pleasure, by prior arrangement. Alternatively a hamper can be arranged with locally sourced ingredients.
The 57 ha farmland is a scenic and tranquil haven for succulent Karoo vegetation and a stroll or hike in any direction will reward the walker with an astonishing diversity of plant life unique to the area. A pleasant 10 km drive leads to the village of Ladismith where you will find your everyday needs.
Interesting walking trails and challenging cycling routes are plentiful in the area. Nearby towns of Barrydale and Calitzdorp are renowned for their ports, brandies and wine. The nearby Seweweekspoort, an awe-inspiring passage between imposing cliffs and peaks, is a World Heritage Site worth exploring.
