Staandakkie Guest Cottage is a charming and quaint self-catering cottage, located on a working farm, just 15 km from Bredasdorp (+/- 8 km of the 15 km is farm gravel road and which a small car can travel on). The cottage is separate from the main farm homestead, but is close enough for interaction with the friendly hosts should guests need it. No loadshedding - solar operated

The cottage can accommodate up to 2 guests and comprises 1 bedroom, 1 en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette. The bedroom contains a double bed. The bathroom contains a shower. A TV, a heater, and a radio are provided. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove, mini-fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery and crockery. Starter coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and rusks are provided.

Outside, there is a braai area with patio chairs. Firewood and a braai grid are provided.

Staandakkie is surrounded by beautiful farm landscape and is 2 km from the historical Milkwood Tree on the farm Rhenosterfontein. Take a stroll and you welcome to bring bikes along. The bird life is prolific.

You are 35 km from closest beach, Arniston, an 55 km away from the Southern most tip of Africa. Cottage lies 43 km away from the De Hoop Nature Reserve.

A quiet place near the de Hoop reserve. A good welcome. We were pleased to stay a night here.

Our stay at Staandakkie Guest Cottage was a wonderful peaceful break from city life. The cottage is small, but really clean, well equipped and comfortable. As we arrived we were treated to a fine display of shepherding by Zak the sheepdog, hard at work in the fields. Thank you Viki and Louis for the hospitality shown to us and the delicious packet of complimentary rusks. We can't wait for our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this cosy cottage. The hostess, Vicki, welcomed us warmly and we were further greeted with an unexpected and greatly appreciated complimentary bottle of red wine, home made rusks, soap, farm milk in the fridge. The cottage was clean and very neat, and the decor was tasteful with so many little touches, including Vicki's paintings on the wall. We lacked nothing to make our stay very comfortable. The farm is beautiful with panoramic views through 360 degrees. Oh yes - Zack, the border collie, ensured we were never lonely.

we loved the adorably romantic little cottage. The beautiful country setting and the incredible night sky with the brilliant stars. Vicki,the host, made us feel really welcome and the special little touches she added made us feel really special.

I loved the quiet & the peacefulness. The room was immaculate. Vicki left us a bottle of wine & some delicious rusks which I thought was a lovely touch. Vicki was the perfect host. She was available yet completely unobtrusive. I will definitely be back!! It was a wonderful place to stay.

Vicki is the sweetest host and welcomed us with champagne and cookies. Definitely worth a stay and the ideal place in between Cape Agulhas and the Bontebock NP.
