Stillwaters Gästehaus

Stillwaters Guest House, self-catering accommodation is a beautiful and peaceful Heritage site, situated on the banks of the Velorenvlei bird and nature reserve, less than 5 Kms from Elands Bay, with its famous left break waves and pristine beaches. The accommodation is nestled in over a hectare of gardens and grounds with spectacular views across the Velorenvlei lagoon and surrounding countryside, which is all a Ramsar protected bird and nature reserve. This is a prime location for twitchers, as the reserve attracts over 240 species of birds, including black eagles, fish eagles, white pelicans, to name but a few.

The estuary a few kilometres away offers another fascinating world and the caves above Baboon Point have amazing rock paintings dating back to thousands of years ago. Fishermen and marine enthusiasts also flock to this extraordinary area, as they are spoilt for choice with the abundance of fish in the Velorenvlei lagoon, including Tilapia, Springer and Carp, or the rich diversity of marine life including whales, dolphins, seals, snoek, crayfish, mussels and crabs.

The Poolhouse and Farmhouse, both lovely historic farm buildings, are located across the lawns from one another and offer our guests very flexible group sizes.

The characterful houses are ideal for a couple's weekend getaway, to accommodating large groups of up to 38 people - for a family get together, a retreat, conference or wedding venue. Guests can also have exclusive use of our entire accommodation.

The stunning Poolhouse offers: a Master bedroom, with 3 separate bedrooms, one of which is en-suite.

There is an Indoor braai room, a lounge area, kitchen and dining room, with big, sliding doors opening out onto a paved stoep at the side of the property.

The lovely 160 year old farmhouse has been sub divided into 5 self-catering units, all with their own private entrances.
