Strawcroft is nestled among the Drakensberg in Van Reenen. This charming cottage will relax guests with its tranquil layout and location in the wild.

The eco-friendly house is made of straw bales making it cool in summer and warm in winter. There are three bedrooms available equipped with either a queen-size bed, double bed or two twin beds accommodating six guests in total.

The main bedroom is equipped with an en-suite bathroom featuring a shower. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom equipped with a shower and a bath. A further guest toilet is available downstairs next to the main bedroom.

The layout and interior of Strawcroft is truly unique. Rich colours of burgundy make up the lounge area surrounded by a fireplace. The dining area has a regal dining table providing the ideal spot for a lovely dinner.

A fully-equipped kitchen follows off from the lounge area. Guests have access to a library with a secluded space, ideal for reading or working.

The patio has a braai and majestic views of the surrounding greenery in Van Reenen. Pets are welcome and guests are guaranteed to leave feeling at peace.

Van Reenen attractions include Van Reenen's Pass and Drakensberg Amphitheatre. Guests of Strawcroft can enjoy a day at Mount Everest Game Reserve and Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park.

What a treasure we discovered in Strawcroft!! It is very comfortable, homely, peaceful and surrounded by a stunning view. I highly recommend that you stay at least a whole weekend.

A place to relax, and enjoy peace and quiet removed from the hustle and bustle of the city! Such a beautiful setting, and very comfortable home. We loved it, and wish we had more than one night there. Yes it is a bit old-fashioned with the decor, but that only adds to the experience. Would love to go back!
