The town is 30 kilometres east of Volksrust and three hours away from Johannesburg. Stroom-af was built 150 years ago as a "nagmaalshuisie" - now its expanded version allows families to relax. The kitchen is fully equipped with a big family table and includes a microwave and gas stove with oven. The indoor braai is excellent for when the weather is not so good - alternatively there is also an outdoor braai option. The games room with pool table and spacious garden is ideal for family fun and ball games. The garden, town and surroundings offer cycling, birding, hiking, fishing, photography and just lazing around. The complete house is let out to only one party at a time.
