Pringle Bay is set within the protected natural wonder of the Kogelberg Biosphere. This charming coastal village lies nestled at the foot of the Hangklip Mountain and is enviously safeguarded by its local residents. Pringle Bay is a small, vibrant community with loads on offer. There are great restaurants, a small theater with live music, bars and the most beautiful beaches. In the area we have one of the only 2 mainland African penguin colonies and a unique biodiversity botanical garden to visit; not to mention the amazing hiking trails, great surf spots, wine routes and much more. If you are an adventure seeker, nature lover or just wanting to get away to relax, this is the perfect spot to visit. Only an hour's drive from Cape Town, 40 minutes from Stellenbosch and Hermanus, it is centrally situated to explore the Western Cape and Overberg.Walking distance to the beach and shops, you won't have to drive anywhere while on holiday if you stay at Sugarbird House. The house is large, spacious, clean, light and airy sleeping 6 comfortably with a sleeper couch for an extra 2 people if necessary. The garden is large and secluded. Designed to have a wind-free, spacious braai and outdoor entertainment area; perfect to unwind in the hammock with plenty space for the pets and kids to run around (the garden is enclosed but there are areas of thick bush through which the more adventurous dog can escape). Situated at the end of a Cul de Sac, it is a safe environment for kids and your car.The house has 3 bedrooms (2x doubles and 1x twin) and a futon sleeper couch, 1 fully equipped kitchen, a smaller kitenette and 2 bathrooms (1x Bath/shower/toilet/basin and 1x shower/toilet/basin), a large dining area, open-plan lounge and separate TV/ games room. There is an upstairs balcony with breakfast table and another large outdoor entertainment area downstairs as well as a spacious braai zone.The TV/games room is equipped with a TV, DVD player and USB port for small memory (32GB) external hard drives and a Single View DSTV and Openview dish and aerial. You will have to bring your own respective decoders and cards if you would like to make use of this service. (There is no local TV reception). As well as this, there is free uncapped Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, washing machine and iron for your convenience.(You will have to bring your own dishwashing tablets). There is also foosball and darts and other games on hand for indoor fun if the sun isn't shining. As we are local residents, one of us will meet you with the keys and will be available to answer any queries and help where necessary. If we are on an errand, the keys will be left in the key code security box ... Otherwise you are left alone to unwind.
