Summer House B&B is centrally located right on the beachfront in one of Port Elizabeth's most prestigious areas, the quiet, leafy and upmarket Summerstrand. Summer House was established as a B&B in 1995 after the main house was built the previous year. The B&B is only a five-minute drive from Port Elizabeth Airport and boasts luxurious and spacious accommodation for business travellers, tourists and families vacationing in Port Elizabeth, at exceptionally affordable rates.

Port Elizabeth's beachfront is renowned for its spectacular swimming beaches and is a much-loved and often utilized venue for national and international water sports events, and guests have the benefit of attractive ocean views from our front gate. For those guests wishing to relax and enjoy all that Port Elizabeth has to offer, swimming at Humewood Beach, which holds international Blue Flag status, as well as the dazzling Hobie Beach, is a leisurely five minutes' walk away.

We are also situated close to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, and for sports fans, the magnificent Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium that hosted the FIFA World Cup in Port Elizabeth, is a mere 10-minute drive away. The stadium is now the proud home of the Eastern Province Kings and the Southern Kings rugby teams. As an added bonus, keen golfers will be pleased to know that the oldest links golf course in South Africa, Humewood Gold Club, is also nearby.

All guest rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, private entrances and self-catering facilities, all ensuring the privacy of our guests. When all you get is Ricoffy and no milk or creamer in your room it confirms a general feeling I had that this place is tired, bored, and merely routine with guests.
