Tala Collection Private Game Reserve is a Wildlife conservancy hidden in the hills of a quiet farming community not far from Durban in KwaZulu-Natal. We are ever aware that as guardians of this precious piece of Africa we have a responsibility to pass this sanctuary on to future generations.

Built by a team of artisans with locally sourced shale. Leadwood Lodge combines exceptional architecture, towering thatch and resplendent finishes.

The menu at La Tala Restaurant has been specially designed by the executive chef to create a delicately balanced fusion of flavours with a Wine list that perfectly complements the food selection. Attractions include game drives, insect trail, nature trail, bush walk, wild gird ringing and a rock pool.

Great staff, shabby everything else by

We got a great rate and i still fee we overpaid for the facilities. I did not expect much on terms of game so that was not issue.

The dining and room finishes were much lower than i expect.


The Rhino by

There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between the different lodges for breakfasts, they didn't have all the food on the menu (the waiters weren't informed) , the outside showers are a bit silly as an only option, the chairs at the pool were broken, our aircon didnt work the first night and there was no milk sachets for our coffee in the room on the first night. Rather dissappointing all round.

Your service Booked through safarinow After several days of stress and many phone calls was finally able to confirm my booking only to arrive and nobody knew anything about me and no booking Lady on the phone not really helpful had no idea how to help , had no number for me to call to get help , it was my problem.

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff but the beds are sooo hard. My mom and i couldn't sleep. The beds at Aloe are so painful even after requesting for an additional cushioning blanket.

Good food, lovely place , good ppl by

Welcoming staff, beautiful place, clean and warm rooms. We enjoyed the game drive. It was a mini vacay. I really enjoyed the stay. I wil definitely go back in summer.
