Tamani @ Galu Beach is also known as Galu Sea Lodge and remains one of the best places to stay and relax on the South Coast of Kenya. We offer four cottages and six superb apartments right by the beach and set within beautiful gardens that run down to the wide sandy beach.

There is an excellent swimming pool with a separate pool for young children, both next to the beach. Day excursions can be arranged in advance and there are many recreation activities to keep guests busy. Apart from the endless swimming in the warm tropical waters of the sea or in our swimming pool, there is great scuba diving and snorkelling, along with windsurfing, kite surfing and parachuting.

Guests can also hire a boat to check out the coral reef and see dolphins. A rare opportunity exists to see whale sharks, the largest and harmless members of the shark family that breed around this part of the coast. Alternatively, you can go deep-sea fishing for sport fish, hire a local dug-out canoe and paddle, or sail around the shallow waters by the reef. There are also two wildlife game parks nearby in the beautiful Shimba Hills, only a 30-minute drive away.
