Thaba Pitsi which means 'mountain of the zebras', in Northern Sotho is situated in the Waterberg in Limpopo, the Province of Peace. Thaba Pitsi Safari Lodge is located in close proximity to Gauteng, just one-and-a-half hours' drive from the Johannesburg International Airport and one hour's drive from Pretoria. The Waterberg mountain range in the Limpopo Province is noted for its moderate climate and is considered South Africa's last great wilderness. Also available below on the Reserve: The Country House & 2 Bungalows situated down the mountain on the farm side of the property:(5 rooms in the country house + 3 bungalows (4 people & 2 people). These accommodation are a charming farmhouse, converted into a Country House & Bungalows fully furnished & equipped. It offers barbecue facilities, fire place, swimming pool & Jacuzzi. You can book DBB (dinner, bed and breakfast package) or Self Catering. ACTIVITIES:Lots of activities allows to combine nature discovery with outdoors activities- game drive R85 ($) - gastronomic restaurant ($)- swimming pool- jacuzzi- fitness area (lodge only)- mountain bike trails- walking trails - tennis - petanque- pool table (lodge only)- treatment ($) depending on treatments- horseback riding trails ($) R250/horse ±1h30- quads trails ($) R250/quad/hour- clay pigeon shooting ($) guided R380/25 targets (minimum 50 targets & minimum of 2 required). We supply quality shotguns, clay targets and ammo- bow shooting ($) R50/pers. 1/2h/guided. We supply bows, arrows, target & instructions. I wish there are more places like Thaba Pitsi in the world. As we arrived we were welcomed by a tame Eland. I have never seen anything like it. My family and I were treated as tho we were royalty. We felt very welcome from the first moment and would like to think that we made new friends. My children especially enjoyed the living in nature expierience. There was just nothing I could find wrong.I would just like to thank them for such a lovely experience. We will be going back soon....

game drive by

stayed at Thaba Pitsi first 2 nights, it was an awesome experience, really enjoyed our stay. The staff is awesome, freindly always. even early house of the morning, they are still great. was scared of a ghecko behind the fridge of which I thought it was a snake, i phoned Martin, who was cheerful.. the game drive was awesome!!!..I had a great rest while the kids were playing. the luxury tent was clean clean.. the food was also great.Thank you to the staff.

Beautifull setting in the mountain, friendliness and helpfullness of all the staff, food was absuletely delicious, all in all a wonderfull breakaway

This was a great place to spend away from the city. Food was amazing, very peaceful with a few rooms / tents making it lovely and romantic. The lodge is managed well and all staff are very passionate about what and how the deliver their service
