South Africa boasts many beautiful places and we believe that Plettenberg Bay is the most beautiful of all. That's why we have called our house "Thanda Vista". Thanda is a widely used word for "Love" in the African languages.

Thanda Vista is an exclusive B&B establishment located minutes from the sandy beaches of Plettenberg Bay. Intimate, exclusive and private, Thanda Vista offers five luxury en-suite bedrooms; a guest lounge with a library, music centre and desk-top computer with free Wi-Fi Internet; a breakfast room with magnificent views of the bay; roof-top terraces for fantastic whale watching; and on-site parking. Your hosts, JP and Petro van der Walt, welcome you to Thanda Vista.

Watch whales while you enjoy breakfast, stroll down to the lagoon, relax on Plettenberg Bay's pristine beaches, or head out for a round of golf on any one of the Garden Route's championship golf courses. There are many other activities available in the area, and you can come home at the end of the day to Thanda Vista.

Nice welcome from hosts. Excellent accommodation with great facilities. Well situated with plenty of parking. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Stay! by

We had a wonderful time at the Thanda Vista and JP and Petro were wonderful hosts. They helped us book all of our tours and cooked us wonderful breakfasts each morning. Would highly recommend this place!

A superb host! by

The host JP and his wife are superb, very friendly and knowledgeable. They will tell you about local attractions, make restaurant reservations and order taxis. The room we had was a little on the small side but that really is the only complaint. There was free water in the fridge and the room itself was very comfortable. The breakfasts are superb and JP, although he doesn't do the cooking obviously takes a great pride in the presentation. The location is about five minutes drive from the centre of town and a short drive to a local shopping centre with amongst other things a supermarket. The nearest beach is about five minutes walk, although it is a beach without any other facilities. All in a good place to stay and one I would thoroughly recommend. All in all a great place to stay

Thanda Vista is a fantastic place to stay in Plett. Great location, rooms are lovely and the hosts are incredible! The attention to detail , from the owners, JP and Petru ensured a very special experience. I highly recommend Thanda Vista!!
