Thandile Country Lodge is situated on a game farm 14,5 km from Bela-Bela on the Alma Road ( Old Dam Rd) We offers luxury accommodation with WIFI & DSTV in the Restaurant Lounge. Activities include bird watching, hiking, Mountain Bike trails. Guided horse trails to view kudu, impala, warthog, giraffe, Vervet monkeys, Blue wildebeest and zebra on horse back. Breakfast is exclude from the daily rate but can be ordered at an additional fee per person. There is a communal kitchen and braai facilities available for guests who prepare self-catering but both the braai and dinner can be booked in advance at the restaurant as an alternative. The details of the available menus is sent to the guest with the welcome letter after the reservation is confirmed. Thandile is the ideal venue for small family functions & special occasions such as weddings ( max 80 people); business work shops & writer's retreats.

Great stay at Thandile Country Lodge by

My kids and I had a wonderful stay at Thandile Lodge. It is a laid back farmstyle set-up in a tranquil lowvweld where the stresses of a metropolitan city like Johannesburg are non-existing. Great treatment by owners and staff.Keep up the good work guys. Game viewing on the mountain side was also fulfilling and it would have been more exciting had the weather behaved well. I wish I had a 4x4 to enjoy to the fullest-next time.

A home away from home by

A lovely casual relaxed atmosphere. Our hosts were fantastic - friendly and organised. The room was lovely too. Cell phone reception was also great. Lots of lovely animals running around and a wonderful old fashioned "stoep" (patio) to laze around on. The restaurant food was really great. We'll definitely go there again.

Rest and relaxation by

Lovely farm with hiking trails. Meals are wholesome and had a lovely picnic under the trees catered by the host. Ideal setting for romantic getaway.

Relax weekend away! by

Good service from the staff, Maria a real angel. Good food. Stunning views. Thank you Kobus and Magdel our stay was a make yourself at home one and pleasant. Wishing you all the best.
