The Bucket List is situated in the heart of Dullstroom Village, the ideal location for relaxation and a family holiday.The property comprises of one unit and two cottages, of which the unit has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom; and the cottages feature king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, lounges, dining rooms and braai facilities. All the cottages have a flat screen HD Television set with DSTV . The abode also offers guests laundry amenities, a garden, and parking on the premises.Dullstroom has many great attractions in and around the area for guests to explore, including the Dullstroom Nature Reserve, The Highland gate Golf course and the Dullstroom Bird Of Prey and Rehab Centre.

If the name of this establishment refers to a great experience that one hopes to have during one's lifetime, give this place a wide birth. Although the facilities are not bad, it is poorly managed, which is made worse by the owner's lack of care. We arrived on Friday night with no directions to get the key for this unmanned venue. (The street name in the e-mail from SafariNow stated that it was in van Riebeeck Street, which it isn't.) A quick call resolved this problem but low and behold the indications to unit 2 and 3 are so poorly lit that it might as well not be there. When we finally settled into the decently equipped unit 2 we discovered our neighbours have a teething baby who was not very happy and the sound isolation between the units is non-existing. It was a tense night.

The next day we checked-in with the owner, whose only solution was that we move to the lesser equipped and smaller unit 1. Which we duly did, there was nothing else available over a long weekend. The absent owner did not bothered to check whether we were satisfied with this arrangement. We made the best of a terrible situation whilst enjoying Dullstroom and the surrounds.

Our recommendation, avoid this Bucket List item at all cost.

The unit is comfort and everything you need is available. The only concern is the floor. My wife is a bit allergic to the smell of cement. Maybe you can do something about the floor.
