The Ark Guest Cottage is a fairytale cottage located on the mountain peak of Piket-bo-berg, on a working farm that specializes in exporting fruit, buchu, fynbos, and proteas. The cottage is just 25 km from Piketberg and 140 km from Cape Town.

The cottage sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in closet, while each of the other two bedrooms contain twin single beds. These rooms share a full bathroom, and linen and bath towels are also provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a hob and oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, and coffee machine. The lounge contains a TV with DStv capability, should guests wish to bring their smart card, and there is also a sleeper couch and a cosy fireplace. A cleaning service can be arranged on request.

There are plenty of hiking trails in the surrounding area as well as horse riding, and the town offers a few lovely restaurants for guests to enjoy.

We hired the house for the weekend. There was plenty of space for everyone in the house,it was well furnished with good outside spaces.We had a relaxing time. Problem areas for owners to check that we experienced were; the water supply, we had no water from the Saturday night, the owner did try to address this,he offered us the use of his shower, but it was a bit of a "downer" for us. A leak from toilet in main bathroom. The electric plug for kettle, toaster and microwave was faulty. No dessert spoons. Otherwise...we enjoyed it!
