The Brandberg Rest Camp is located in the village of Uis in the heart of Damaraland, an unspoiled rural area in Namibia, between Swakopmund and the Etosha Game Reserve. The Brandberg is the highest mountain in Namibia and is famous for the White Lady and other Bushman paintings as well as its diverse geology.

The mountain is very popular for hikers, and hiking and other guides can be arranged on request. Guided tours in Toyota Landcruisers in and around the area are also available. The Brandberg area is also popular for its unspoiled beauty, Desert Elephants, and herds of zebra, and springbok that roam free in the wilderness. You can also buy world-famous Brandberg crystals directly from small miners who make a living from selling these crystals.

The Brandberg Rest Camp offers affordable accommodation in en-suite rooms, self-catering accommodation, or camping, and other facilities include a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, and Internet facilities.

Oasis in the desert by

We only stayed one night and the accommodation was comfortable enough. The bright light shining through the light curtains made for a less than preferred sleeping environment. We had dinner, but would recommend asking them to back off on the sauce they use on everything - the taste was overpowering and made the hamburger taste the same as the game steak.

Unsatisfactory by

Acceuil plus que négligé. Nous avons due nous mettre en colère pour obtenir la clé de notre chambre. Chambre vétustes. Pas de breakfast Home more than neglected. We got angry due to the key situation. Dilapidated room. No breakfast.

After the beautiful accomandations before we were so disappointed of the location and the room that we decided not to stay overnight although we already had paid. The room was old the bath disgusting. Not recommendable at all. Especially not for that price
