This quaint wooden house is situated within a lovely garden in Onrus, in the Western Cape of South Africa. Nestled between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Onrus is an idyllic seaside village located mere minutes Hermanus. Just 120 km from Cape Town, and in the very heart of the Whale Route, Onrus is surrounded by fynbos and Milkwood trees. The beach is very popular for swimmers, body boarders and surfers, and there is also a tranquil lagoon with a bird hide in the adjoining nature reserve for bird lovers. It is not uncommon to spot Southern Right whales in season.The Garden House contains two bedrooms, sleeping 4 in total. The main bedroom contains a king-size bed, the second room contains a queen size bed. The bathroom features a large shower and bath and there is also a separate toilet.The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a gas hob and oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Features include air-conditioning in the main living area and heaters in the bedroom, and the lounge is also equipped with a TV and surround sound. In addition, the house offers two small decks to enjoy the outdoors.Please note that it is a quiet neighbourhood and no parties or loud music will be tolerated.

This was one of the most enjoyable holiday accommodations that I have stayed in for some time. The main features are as follows, value-for-money and an exquisite modern interior. I highly recommend The Garden House for your next stay in Onrus.

We had a great time at the Garden House. Very clean and everything working. A great place to relax and have a great weekend. All arrangements with Marc were spot on, no problems at all.

We stayed in the Garden House for 14 nights in December 2014. The house is clean, neat and has everything you need for an enjoyable holiday at the beach.



The accommodation is quiet but with a very modern touch, Onrush is theperfect relaxing getaway but the Garden house is the ultimate retreat in thissleepy town well situated and close to everything from the lagoon / OnrushBeach to the Shops to the restaurant, Highly would recommend this town andespecially this venue for accommodation Mark and his Mom are the perfect hostand assist you throughout the process of using their venue perfect for firsttime users of the is website like we were, we will be back to Onrush and wewill be back to use the Garden House, perfect place for traveler with childrenas the garden is magical with lots of things to explore and play make believein.
