The Hideaway Country B & B

The four separate spacious, deluxe, air conditioned suites open directly onto a quiet large, private garden where we have over 250 rose bushes, and abundant birdlife. Addition to our Suites we have a Cottage with all the same luxuries and sleeps 4. All our suites have three different types of coffees, several different types of teas, and fresh milk is always available in the refrigerator. Our internationally acclaimed shortbread is renewed daily, as is the port and the muscadel. The mini bar is stocked with beer, soft drinks, water and fresh milk.

Electric blankets are available at all times. However, we only put these on the beds during the colder months. Here's just some of the reasons why The Hideaway is so very special...

We are one of the least expensive five-star establishments, and winners of international awards for the last 10 years. We are situated in a beautiful quiet and secure area in a side street (large vehicles are prohibited from using this street) close to the historical centre of town and close to restaurants.

You'll be welcomed with a complimentary cup of tea or coffee or homemade lemonade and some of jackie's homemade cookies. we will explain the area to you if you wold like us to, or leave you to find your own way. (either Stephen or Jackie are always on the premises).

We make restaurant bookings on your behalf and offer you complimentary lifts to and from the restaurant. You will be invited to join the hosts for complimentary wine tasting, and drinking, served with snacks (homemade nibbles and other local treats) before you go out to dinner.

Our breakfasts are considered one of the best in South Africa by many of our guests and we get frequent requests to serve breakfast to outside visitors, but I am afraid they are reserved for our residents only!

Your car will be washed each morning during your stay.

There will be added value for each honeymoon couple. We will ensure that we spoil you in a special way, suited to your own individual tastes.

If you stay with us for more than two nights we will gladly do any washing that you have free of charge.
