The Lemon Tree Guest House is situated in the heart of Newlands and within walking distance of Newlands Cricket and Rugby Grounds. Guests can also walk to Cavendish Square Shopping Centre, Claremont, The Vineyard Hotel and Conference centre, S.A. Sports Science Institute, SA Breweries, and Virgin Active Gym. Just around the corner are many restaurants and pubs in the trendy Newlands Village.

The owner, Mrs Jennifer Hewitt, can offer a single, double or twin-room, with a shower en suite. Your accommodation has its own private entrance and secure parking behind electric gates. Facilities include, Wi-Fi, DStv, tea and coffee-making facilities, iPod docking station, toaster, kettle, microwave, mini-bar facilities including snacks at an extra charge, hairdryer, room heater and hidden safe for valuables.

Continental breakfast is provided and a cooked breakfast can be offered at a small extra charge. During summer months guests are able to choose to eat breakfast in the sunny courtyard or alternatively in the private lounge and dining area. Picnic hampers for day trips and evening meals can be supplied at extra charge, but need to be booked in advance.

The Lemon Tree Guesthouse is a short drive away from Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The University of Cape Town and The Baxter Theatre are also a short drive away. The guest house is just a 15 to 20 minute drive away from Cape Town International Airport, Table Mountain Cableway, Lions Head, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town International Convention Centre, Constantia Winelands, Camps Bay and Clifton. We are also able to offer airport transfers.

A very warm host by

I travelled with a baby for business in Cape Town and it was a relief to have such a warm and helpful host. The place is warm, professionally run, and beautifully located 15 mins walk from Newland forest at the base of Table Mountain.

I stayed at The Lemon Tree Guest House. It was indeed a pleasant home away from home experience, very clean and safe. Jennifer was an excellent hostess. I would definitely recommend it to guests looking for a clean home environment and central location.
