?The Lookout? Praia da Rocha is a private beach house at the Praia da Rocha Beach Estate, Tofo. It is a secluded and stunning house in a pristine environment overlooking the beach with its own walkway and a panoramic view of the north beach, the rock and the south beach. The area has been designated a marine sanctuary and an important turtle breeding site. It provides the flexibility of much to do in the area with the sanctuary of a true escape.
The house features four main bedrooms, with a fifth room available on request for large bookings. All four principle bedrooms face the Indian Ocean with huge sliding doors leading onto the deck. The views are incredible with nothing in front of you but beach and sea. Three of the bedrooms have superb en-suite bathrooms and the fourth, the children-family room, has a family bathroom across the hall. All the rooms have air-conditioning and fans.
There are top fittings and fixtures, simple but stylish furniture and a lovely beach theme throughout. The main areas are open plan with two sets of large folding-stack doors which open onto both the pool deck and the main front deck. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a scullery. The house is serviced daily.
From your deck, watch whales breach and blow from June to October. Dive or snorkel with the world's largest population of whale sharks and manta rays year round. Most trips guarantee the incredible experience of snorkelling with dolphins. The Praia da Rocha bay is perfect and offers safe swimming, snorkelling, sea kayaking and surfing.
The nearby towns of Barra and Tofo have a range of bars and restaurants and several reputable operators offering all manner of activities including surfing, kitesurfing, horse riding and world-class diving. Take a 10-minute boat trip to manta reef which is voted one of the world's finest diving sites. Fantastic game fishing is also available. For a change of pace, take a dhow trip into the tranquil bay of Inhambane and visit Pansy Island or visit the vibrant market in the lovely regional town of Inhambane.
