The Ridge Guest House in Richards Bay comprises 14 bedrooms which walk onto the sun-drenched pool area and have spectacular views of the ocean and harbour. All the rooms also have their own en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, DStv,

Wi-Fi Internet access and tea and coffee facilities. Should you need to have laundry done, we also have a laundry services that runs daily.

Guests are served a full English breakfast each morning, and our in-house restaurant and bar also cater for lunch and supper daily. Alternatively, you can have the option of enjoying a meal at one of the restaurants on the main waterfront.

The beach and 18-hole golf course is within walking distance and you can also easily access St Lucia and the Umfolozi-Hluhluwe game reserve. Our friendly staff are here to accommodate you and make your stay feel like home away from home.

We are closed every year on 1 January; guests can check out on this day, but not check in.

This was one of the best I have stayed in! Well done! They answered to all of my needs without hesitation. I will recommend this guest house to anyone! Thanks.

Excellent service by

The service is excellent and the place is beautiful. I would recommend that during holidays their breakfast should be served until 11:00, especially because when you are on holidays you don't want to wake up early because of not wanting to miss breakfast. As well some rooms want to use the micro ovens because if you have a baby with you, you would want to use the micro oven to warm the baby food, as well you can use it for your own take aways. They should also look at having a package that will include dinner as well.

Comfort with a View by

My granddaughter and I stayed one night here to recoup from 24 hours of flying to South Africa. We were pleased to find the accommodations very comfortable, good food, and a nice view of the bay. The staff were terrific; they helped us obtain the proper electrical adapter (we brought the wrong one) and also helped us contact our USA cell phone service in the U.S.when we experienced problems.
