Tiffindell Ski and Alpine Resort is the only ski resort in South Africa, located on the south-facing mountain slope that ensures the snow lasts in June, July and August.

Tiffindell holidaymakers and weekenders can enjoy the spectacular views, relax at South Africa's highest resort or stroll amongt the summer alpine flowers not found anywhere else in the world. Come and enjoy a starry starry night and the tranquillity of the Eastern Cape Highlands. Spend Christmas, New Year, or Easter with a bunch of friends in our luxurious accommodation. Remember everything is a mile high at Tiffindell

The resort can sleep about 150 guests in well-appointed, timber chalets; ranging from budget to luxury. Tiffindell's guests are accommodated in centrally heated rooms within 100 m of the slope and the main lodge. All bed linen, towels and amenities are supplied. Tea and coffee is provided in all chalets.

Tiffindell recreates the famous Après-Ski fun, with some unique programmes for adults and children alike. You'll be able to enjoy Gluhwein or Schnapps, snowy cocktails and shooters in South Africa's highest pub called Ice Station 2720.

Overall our stay was wonderful with a great setting. The food was good and enough. We will certainly try and stay there again.

Absolutely awesome! by

After initially struggling to get accommodation near Barkley East, Tiffendell sent through a quote that fitted out budget perfectly! And what a surprise awaited us - the accommodation is five star, absolutely awesome! And the journey from Rhodes to the resort is just as awesome. The next morning we took the other route - Volunteersnek Pass - the scenery is breathtaking. Pity it was only for one night but it was a fantastic stay-over and one we would gladly repeat. This is really an unique resort , just to relax and enjoy the surroundings walking trials , good food , very good rooms. The roads to Rhodes and onward to the resort is a challenge but admitted it is very expensive to upgrade
