Situated within the boundaries of the Dinokeng Game Reserve, Tjailatime Bush Camp offers visitors the splendour of typical bushveld in extent of 3,000 hectares in a malaria-free area traversed by a perennial stream and enclosed by a sturdy 2.4 km game fence. Pride of Africa Nature Reserve is situated 55 km north of Pretoria and access is obtained by means of the N1 highway. The area is renowned for many outstanding game and nature reserves. Pride of Africa is well-stocked with more than 120 head of game comprising more than 20 species roaming the reserve.

Tjailatyd Lodge is rented out as a group-only venue, which means the camp includes the use of the entire venue and all eight rooms. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 16 adults and eight children. Rooms 1 to 4 each sleep a family of four with two single beds and one double sleeper couch per room, while Rooms 5 to 8 each contain twin single beds.
Tjailatyd also offers a lapa area complete with a swimming pool, boma and braai area. The kitchen is fitted with all necessities such as a conventional oven, a microwave, deep-freezers and fridges, braai grids, utensils, and ample cutlery and crockery. Visitors can also make use of a cosy lounge area with DStv. Domestic cleaning services are included and game drives are part of our spectacular highlights to make your stay even more memorable.
For all those with an extreme amount of energy, a jungle gym, sandpit and volleyball field is available to explore the extent of your fitness levels, not to mention bestowing a degree of rest on the parents. Kids are also most welcome to bring their own bicycles.
The Pride of Africa Nature Reserve has a vast infrastructure, including more than 60 km of road. This area is ideal for mountain bike rides, and for the wild at heart, there is also the attraction of the close-by Carousel and Rust De Winter dam. Bass fishing and bird-watching can be enjoyed during the day, returning to the tranquility of a camp fire in the evenings.
