Under the Berg is a beautiful thatched cottage B&B located only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Underberg. This is a well-appointed B&B and all rooms are well equipped and spacious.

Accommodation ranges from Backpackers Rooms to en-suite rooms. In-room facilities include DStv viewing, tea and coffee-making facilities, bar fridges and heaters. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge where you can curl up in front of the fireplace and enjoy a hot/cold drink.

The large garden is very well kept and boasts stunning views of the Southern Drakensberg in the distance. It is an ideal place for families with young children who need to burn off some energy, even after a long day enjoying the outdoors. If you require Internet facilities, we have that on site.

There are five restaurants within walking distance, but we have braai facilities if you would like to stay in for dinner. Activities include river tubing where we can supply the tubes, hiking, fishing, horse riding, quad biking, all about +/- 10 km. 4x4 tours up the Sani Pass can be arranged with 4 tour operators within 300m from us.

Under the Berg is wonderful by

Comfortable accommodation with a beautiful environment, at a reasonable price. Bruce and Julie's hospitality makes you feel home.

Not the best by

We took a B&B two night stay. Breakfast was good, but we had a rondaval with a leaking roof when the rain came down, electricity went out and generator had no fuel. Security gate at entrance out of order. The place needs better maintainance, clean up and new linen.
