Relaxing and Beautiful by

We had a breakaway weekend and this was wonderful. The chalet was clean and well made up with enough space and luxury. The farm itself is set in some very beautiful countryside and we really had a great relaxing weekend. Shaun and Marjie was very friendly and accommodating and I would definitely recommend this for a couples breakaway weekend or for the avid fly fisherman!

Reception was very friendly and helpful. The log cabin was tidy , well equipped, comfortable, modern and well looked after. Management of Valley of the Rainbow seem to be serious about good service and going the extra mile for their visitors .

the food is of a very low old fashion cooking habits, need to improve or get a new chef who is not set in his ways....

We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in one of the log cabins - beautifull, well maintained, value for money. Very private. The trout dams is clean, well looked after but the weather was against us.... We saw a few big ones but not even one bite. This farm is beautiful with lovely hiking trails and Shaun was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return. PS. They just need to look at security. It is very secluded, no cellphone reception and there is no access control or other security......

What can be improved is pricing communication. I was disappointed when I looked through the info manual that it says the rate is R750/day. I thought I had got a special discounted rate from yourselves, and yet I paid more than 20% of the going rate. On enquiring when I checked out (and I paid the rate I was quoted at the time of booking) I was given an unsatisfactory answer of weekend rates. The point is this is not specifically stated anywhere that the R750 excludes weekends. Otherwise a great place. I'll go back and recommend it to others
