The house was owned by the Mayor of Milnerton and the famous conductor and composer Albert Coates. Being a dignitary's home, Vrede Manor offers superb grace and style.

We are ideally situated to visit the city centre, V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain National Park, and Kirstenbosch Gardens. Vrede Manor is also close enough to access Simon's Town and the Peninsula, while the majestic Cape Point and the wine farms of Constantia, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Durbanville Hills and Paarl are all within easy reach. Milnerton Golf Course, the only true links course in South Africa, Century City and of course Milnerton beach and the light house are also worth a visit.
