My room was very restful with all the comforts of home. This is definitely a home away from home and is perfect for anyone who enjoys antique and restful surroundings. Disappointing by Pieter Vrey, South Africa 27 June 2013 When I arrived in the area around 7pm, I discovered that there was no security boom or personnel, just a closed gate. When I tried to phone the only contact number provided, I discovered it was for a secondary agency only working business hours - there was no direct contact to the guesthouse. I managed to enter the complex by driving behind another resident and drove up to the guesthouse. After I rang the bell 3 times, one of the guests came to open up for me. Eventually a lady came to show me the room and give me the keys. The room itself was adequate but I had an awful night as the bed was strangely hot (there was no electric blanket) and uncomfortable and I could clearly hear another guest snoring away in the room next to me. The next morning when I tried to take a shower I got badly scalded on the shoulders and neck because the hot/cold water for the bathroom is not independent from the rest of the house. Repeatedly the shower would turn instantly boiling hot or icy cold as someone else in the house opened taps. I will never stay here again. WATERFRONT GäSTEHAUS LAGE
