Whale Watchers Inn is situated on the Whale Coast and is surrounded by two natural phenomena; The Breede River Estuary and the Ian Ocean. Endless. White sandy beaches are available for long strolls and the San Sebastian Bay, which Whale Watchers Inn overlooks, is the home of the Southern Right whales that can be viewed either from the beach, or from your balcony.
The guest house is situated in one of South Africa's most beautiful and unspoilt seaside resorts, Witsand, in the Western Cape. The inn is situated approximately 100 m from the beach and is within walking distance of the mouth of the Breede River.
As Witsand is only a three-hour drive from Cape Town and two hours' from George, halfway between Cape Town and Knysna, it is a welcome stop on your Garden Route tour. From here, our guests are within easy reach of the Malgas Pont, De Hoop Nature Reserve, Swellendam, the Bontebok Park, Barrydale, Ashton, Robertson Wine Route and Montague, before moving onto the greater Garden Route area.
Witsand boasts one of the largest collections of Southern Right whales during the whaling season, which is from June to the end of November. Whale Watchers Inn is situated directly in front of the beach and you can watch the whales from the comfort of the balcony or your sea-facing accommodation.
