The Jacuzzi never got hot, the gas for the fireplace was empty. After reporting it, we were told that gas was on its way, but it never materialized. SNQA - Kelly by Johan Du Plooy, South Africa 01 September 2014 This was unfortunately one of the worst experiences me and my friends had with luxury accommodation. The fact that facilities were advertised and is not in a working condition any more, is actually a form of fraud. A week before we went, I emailed them and was then informed that the Jacuzzi doesn't work. The owners didn't feel that they have to compensate us in any sense. Didn't even suggest a discount, etc. Getting there, we realized the following didn't work:- the fire place was out of order (I phoned and was told that someone would come and fix it, no one pitched up)- water was leaking from the shower onto the carpet in the one room- on Friday an agent pitched up with potential buyers, without notifying us. Just stating that they thought no one would be present. How about some privacy?- wind was howling through a sliding door in one of the rooms (people couldn't sleep)- our power tripped a few times.To pay full price and to get an experience/product like this is a huge disappointment.Establishment's response: We did inform the client and SafariNow about why the Jacuzzi should not be used. The main electricity trips in the road down at the gate and to get an electrician over a weekend will not be as easy. The reason the electricity will trip is that the load will be very high with 8 people staying there and using the aircons and geysers. This is a municipality problem that needs to be addressed.We immediately acted on the faulty gas fireplace and the rental company ensured us that the relevant company is on its way to repair the problem. I phoned on Friday and asked if everything was ok and they informed us that there was no problem. We were under the impression that Mr Du Plooy and his friends were ok with the company taking somebody to look as the men were playing golf at that stage. We were also not aware of the leak and howling wind through the sliding door as we have never received complaints about this in the past ? we have already requested repairs to be done.Mr Du Plooy did ask for an early check-in which we granted and also provided DStv for free ? he did not need to bring his decoder with him.
