Here you can relax in comfortable beach house-style while watching Southern Right whales frolicking in Walker Bay from the patio. Indulge in the tranquil views of the Onrus lagoon, a haven for many bird species and the occasional Cape clawless otter. Join in the surfers' fun by day when they test their skills against the Atlantic Ocean, or let the waves lull you to sleep at night. Onrusrivier is home to many artists and offers the discerning visitor the opportunity to browse through its interesting shops and galleries, with the holiday bustle of the town of Hermanus only 4 km away. The Milkwood Restaurant, nestled between milkwood trees and overlooking the lagoon, mere minutes away from the house, provides sumptuous meals for the cook who needs a break.
Enjoy wine tasting on wine estates in the Hemel and Aarde Valley, or beer tasting at the Birkenhead Brewery in the nearby town of Stanford. The golf enthusiast has at least three golf courses to choose from, all within 15 minutes' drive.
