Yellowwood Creek

Yellowwood Creek lies at the foot of the Amatola mountains. The gardens and sweeping lawns slope down to the Cumakala River and dense Yellowwood forest.

Yellowwood Creek offers accommodation in two double-roomed suites with bathrooms and French doors onto the verandas, one of which has an adjoining room suitable for families with children. In addition, there is a guest cottage-built in the nineteenth century- with its own bathroom, mezzanine sleeping area and balcony with panoramic views of the forest.

The forest and surrounding area are inhabited by no less than one hundred and thirty-eight species of bird including Knysna louries and the rare Cape parrot, many of which are common seasonal visitors to the garden.
