Located on Bazaruto Island, an iconic and beautiful island within the Bazaruto Archipelago. Our beautiful authentic lodge is intricately tied to the ocean, nature, island and people. Zenguelemo is a family operated lodge with an eco
mindset and community involvement.

The lodge offers a range of accommodation options from luxury villas, a tented village, all connected by timber walkways, as well as wild camping. The central areas comprise a beach bar, swimming pool as well as beach restaurant. Uniquely Zenguelemo Lodge has its own house reef which provides guests with the opportunity to snorkel and scuba dive. Whales, turtles, manta rays and dugongs are all present in the ocean in front of the Lodge. Bird life is prolific as all the lodge buildings are set amongst natural coastal dune vegetation. Being on Bazaruto Island itself fishermen are close to all the best fishing spots in the archipelago. Deep sea fishing trips can be arranged.

Other activities include boat trips to Paradise Island for picnics and additional snorkelling as well as sea safaris on our beautiful boat Islander, guided walks to the famous Bazaruto Island coastal dunes, guided bird watching walks, sea kayaking , guided snorkelling trips all with knowledgeable guides. The lodge also offers visits to local villages, schools and hospitals, community fish markets and the nearby mangrove swamps, home to resident flocks of flamingos.
