De Ark Mountain Lodge, with its breathtaking mountain views and ideal location near the picturesque village of Clarens, is a place of restoration for those in need of silence, nature, and solitude. Elevated above the village of Clarens, De Ark is strategically located adjacent to the Golden Gate National Park, and just 7 km from Clarens town centre with its vibrant village life.The lodge consists of seven chalets and one room with en-suite bathrooms. Each chalet has a fireplace and patio, as well as sweeping views of the mountains. There is a fully stocked bar and restaurant at the lodge. Bookings need to be made in advance for the restaurant.The farm boast some of the most beautiful landscapes which can be experienced when taking an early morning walk, mountain bike ride or horse ride amongst the zebra, bontebokke, Black wildebeest, springbok and eland. Mountain biking and trail running is available at the lodge.Our rates are charged per person, with children rates

A nice relaxing weekend by

Very nice stay, we were looking to get away and have a nice relaxing weekend and that's what we had :) we were left to our own devices so we were able to relax and then enjoy the great breakfast and scenery the next morning.

We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful place and the service by Cathy and staff was excellent.

Pleasant by

Lovely location from which to explore the area. We found the 4 sleeper chalet a bit cramped for a family of 4, even though our children are small.
Neat and clean with friendly staff. Perhaps a bit overpriced for the size of the chalet. Great views, and the children enjoyed exploring the farm. Lovely breakfasts.
