Golden Lantern Guest Lodge offers a peaceful setting where both business travellers and holiday makers can relax and unwind. This charming guest house offers upmarket accommodation, in a wide selection of self-catering accommodation.

There are seven en-suite rooms sleeping up to four people. There are three rooms set on the upper level in the main house, all with private doors leading outside to the Lapa. The rooms are all equipped with modern facilities such as Wi-Fi and TVs with M-Net and local channels. Guest staying in any of the en-suite or upstairs rooms, can make use of the self-catering and braai facilities in the lapa.

There are two well-equipped self-catering chalets. Each unit has its own fully equipped kitchen and lounge area.

The large property has a swimming pool and games room with a pool table. A laundry service and airport shuttle is available on request. There is ample safe and secure parking for guest's vehicles. Meals are available on request.

The lodge could improve on the following
Knowing that they have lots of trees and there are mosquito they must have mosquito repellent.
There were no cleaning detergent in the bathroom including hand washing soap. That's so unhygienic.
The wall tiles were coming off and ants were behind them.
The place could do with some renovation.

Sorry to hear but i didn't get notice from the guest at the time they were  booked.
 
Why didn't the guest complain in the visitors register and to the reception who is 24 hours on duty. According to her she was very happy at all times.
Mosquitos and ants are  every where in Africa, we did the necessary ant and mosquito thing every week.
i am not aware of any loose tiles in my en-suites or chalets.

There is soap on every bed for the amount people who is booked. 

I would like to have them back and not stay away.
 




My stay at Golden Lantern was good.  I booked a private suit not knowing that it does not have a kitchen.  but because Wilma was so friendly and understanding she moved me into a chalet the following day, my stay was very good and relaxing.  Thanks Wilma and Iris, keep up the good work.

The place is cosy and relaxing we really enjoyed, the staff is friendly and helpful. My only issue was the animals roaming around as some of the people I visited with had allergies if they could keep them away from guests.

The only good thing i can say is we had a warm welcome from Francois as for the room it wasn't what i had expected at all they didn't have enough cutlery as for the plates we got a broken plate and when we told the lady of the place you could see she didnt believe us and she wasn't welcoming at all. The place needs a revamp on a serious note the lapa especially some of the decor design they must be removed. And the place must be cleaned properly. They let the dogs move around the place and there's dog poo everywhere. The also let them in the pool. I wont be visiting the place anymore. It wasn't a great
