De Hoeve

De Hoeve is a garden Cottage located in Pietermaritzburg, in the heart of the Natal Midlands.

The Cottage consists of two bedrooms with two single beds each and shares the use of a bathroom with a shower only. The kitchenette is equipped with limited self-catering facilities such as a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery. Guests can relax in a lounge area and Wi-Fi Internet access is available. There is off-street parking and guests can cool down in the swimming pool. Laundry and meals are optional extras and available on request.

Pietermaritzburg offers a wide variety of attractions such as the Albert Falls Dam Nature Reserve and the Natal Zoological Gardens which houses a collection 44 different animal species. Historians can visit the Burger Street Jail which closed in 1989 and sections of the jail are open today for tours. The Garden of Remembrance commemorates the service people who lost their lives in the two world wars. Guests can do some shopping in Church Street, which was converted into an attractive pedestrian shopping mall. Golfers can play a round at the Maritzburg or Victoria Country Club.
