De Werf welcomes you with grand archways to beautifully designed guest room retreats. Each of our en-suite rooms can be described as luxurious, stylish and gracefully appointed. The magnificent views of springbok and other wildlife from your personal patio serve as the backdrop to the resort grounds as lush gardens surround you.

Our beautiful chalets, with generous terraces, are air-conditioned and each chalet includes excellent mattresses, a bar fridge, DStv, tea and coffee-making facilities and Wi-Fi Internet access. The chalets overlook the lush gardens and pools. There is also a licensed a la carte restaurant, private braai facilities and a lapa.

At De Werf, we are proud to offer a wide variety. The kitchen is known for its "farm to table" fresh seasonal Green Kalahari cuisine featuring ingredients simply prepared with time-honoured techniques. The menu features organic produce, fresh herbs, local farm-raised meats and poultry, fresh vegetables, prime dry-aged meats and innovative vegetarian dishes. For lighter fare, join us in the De Werf Shop offering an impressive wine selection and an innovative list of bottled goods. Known for its atmosphere, the Ladies Bar is the perfect place to take in the inspiring views of the green scenery and enjoy great appetizers and sandwiches.

Distinctive indoor treatments are available to enliven your senses and bring relaxation and rejuvenation to both the body and spirit, for the ultimate spa experience. And for the more energetic, a mini gym is also available.

A very pleasant stay by

We visited De Werf many many years ago and were thus very pleasantly surprised that not much has changed. Very friendly staff and a tasty dinner, clean and comfortable rooms in an enchanting surrounding.

The staff went out of their way to provide a very adequate dinner service despite the restaurant being fully booked through an unexpected group of visitors. If we were to go this way again, we would certainly visit De Werf once more.

Beautiful place, but very bad service by

As we arrived reception has very friendly staff, room was not too bad, we had a beautiful view of all the animals. We had dinner at the restaurant my fiance had the 400g T-Bone it was one of the best steaks we ever had was very tender didn't even need a knife to eat it. the food was very nice when it arrived eventually.
When they cleaned our room the next day they didn't take out the trash, they took the towels to clean and never replaced them. For breakfast we went back to the restaurant where we waited for 26min before anyone came to the table with a menu. we each had 3 drinks and had to fetch 2 of them ourselfs the food arrived over an hour later. I ordered a toasted sandwich and an plate of onion rings my fiance ordered a beef burger with a mushroom sauce. I received brown toast instead of white and my onion rings arrived 10min later and my fiance did not get his mushroom sauce which after he asked for it the waiter said she will bring it but it toon so long that later on we told her to leave the sauce as his burger started to get cold waiting for the sauce.

Overall very nice place with good food but are seriously understaffed.
And the worst of all is this was on a Saterday on month end and they only had 2 waiters that also had to work in the bar and help with the food.

At the reception they did not know about our reservation and our prepay. We left the Lodge without staying there. Nothing has been changed since our last stay in 2009. The carpets in front of the bed and in the bathroom were dirty.
