Dhow House is a spectacular five-bedroom house built in Lamu style. Set in one acre of garden, the house has three storeys and the magnificent entrance leads up to the first floor where the swimming pool is located with palm trees at each corner.
The living and dining areas are also located on the first floor, taking advantage of the views across the pool. The television room is equipped with Satellite TV and a DVD player, but DVD's are not provided. Four of the bedrooms are en-suite and one bedroom shares a bathroom. All rooms are equipped with overhead fans and mosquito nets and are furnished with double or twin beds.
Comfortable sunbeds overlook the pool and the gardens below. A spacious shaded terrace can be found on the roof and is furnished with cosy seating making it ideal for entertaining. Dhow House also has a viewing tower with 360-degree views over Watamu.
The house is fully staffed with an excellent cook and a housekeeper. Day and night askaris (security guards) and G4S security buttons are also provided for your peace of mind, and the house has a small backup generator.
Dhow House is a two-minute walk from the crystal clear waters of Watamu Marine Park. This allows all visitors easy access to the spectacular undersea life with exceptional snorkeling and diving conditions. Several companies provide deep sea fishing and Watamu is renowned its fishing competitions and events.
