In elegant Caledon Street, under the shade of age-old oak trees, is this extraordinary 170-year old historic guest house. Characterized by old-fashioned and informal hospitality, we offer eleven unique, stylish en-suite bedrooms and a memorable breakfast.
All our rooms are equipped with heaters or underfloor heating, coffee and tea trays, a carafe of sherry, TVs with M-Net and other special treats and amenities.
Our magnificent lounge with original yellowwood floors and ceilings, also features a Victorian fireplace where guests can gather around the fire on cool rainy days. The breakfast room is a cheerful sunny place with an old Dover stove. Here we serve our farm-style breakfast while guests enjoy a view of the lush garden with George Peak in the background. Breakfast can also be served on the patio.
Our place is ideally situated in the heart of George for tourists and corporate guests visiting George, Garden Route, Oudtshoorn, Mossel Bay and Knysna.
