The oldest guest farm in Namibia, with its spectacular view, lies just 50 km north of Windhoek, on the way to Etosha, Damaraland, Skeleton Coast and the Namib desert. Duesterbrook is a member of the Namibian Hotel Association and registered with the Namibia Tourism Board.
We cater only for the individual traveller. The old colonial buildings (1909) have been carefully renovated and extended to keep the flair of the by-gone times. Complimented by inviting rooms, a tasty cuisine and the personal service is brought to you by a team of individual players.
Adventure excellent cheetah and leopard drives and see about 15 different species of game and rich birdlife on the safari game drive. A early morning special mountain drive with different view points and the possibility to see the rare and endemic Hartmann mountain zebra is offered free if you stay two or more nights. Feel space, clean air and tranquility or enjoy four well marked walking trails or horseback riding. Enjoy a swim or the atmosphere around our big pool.
We run and manage the farm in an environmental friendly way and participate in the Namibian eco award. In 2005 and in 2007 we got three and in 2008 we been awarded with four out five flowers.
