In the village of Claridge, just 6 km outside Pietermaritzburg on the Otto's Bluff Road, nestled in a magnificent country garden that can be reached by winding through an avenue of clivia towered by yellowwood trees, lies the beautiful home of Dunaverty.

Guests can enjoy hearty home-cooked meals and relax in the comfort of this majestic old home. Take a stroll and experience the abundant birdlife and relaxed atmosphere of the gardens.

We offer three exquisitely decorated rooms as well as a quaint backpacker's loft that sleeps six. Accommodation is available on a bed and breakfast or a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, the choice is yours. Dunaverty can also assist with one-day and multi-day tours of the surrounding areas and places of interest.

What more can I say? Absolute heaven.

Wonderful stay by

Max and Miranda were wonderful hosts. It was a perfect relaxing Pre-comrades stay for my husband and we will definitely stay here again if we are in the Pietermaritzburg area. It felt like a home away from home.
