The Dunedin Star guest house has become a landmark for budget accommodation in Swakopmund Namibia, in itself a historical landmark, it was named after another historical landmark, the Blue Star Liner named Dunedin Star, which was shipwrecked on the unforgiving Skeleton Coast of Namibia on 29th November 1942.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our weekend getaway very much. The breakfast served was well done, the staff very friendly and most helpful.



Place is neat and tidy. But has more of a back packers feel then Guest House. A small bar fridge in the room would be nice. Enjoyed the stay

The guest were friendly and helpful. The place is neat and clean and the food was good. The room we stayed in was also good for the night we spent there but if I were to stay for longer I would request a bigger room. 



All was fine. Secured parking, friendly staff and clean rooms. Food was good.

The rooms were good but we did encounter a large number of ants in one room. However, the staff handled this in a decent fashion.
