This self-catering lodge at Ligogo has an idyllic setting amongst milkwood trees and in pristine indigenous bush with beautiful views of the sea and within direct walking distance of the beach. The lodge is fully equipped with bedding, towels and beach towels. It is fully fitted to make your stay very comfortable. Chest freezers and ice machines will ensure your goods will stay cool and fresh.
The lodge comfortably sleeps 10 guests and comprises two buildings which are both under Natal thatch. The main house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large open-plan living room complete with a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. The views from the deck and the gazebo are stunning. The second smaller building has two en-suite bedrooms with a shared deck balcony and wonderful sea views. All rooms have ceiling fans.
The bay in front of the property is protected by a long reef and offers very safe swimming and an easy launch site for ski boats, fishing and diving boats. There is excellent fishing in the area with plenty of cuda, tuna, kingfish, dorado and cobia to catch. For scuba divers, the dive centre is about five minutes away.
The lodge is supplied with three-phase electricity, with a generator backup. Other noteworthy additions include good quality fresh water, 24-hour security and a housekeeper named Miguel who provides a daily domestic service. Drinks and basic provisions are available in the village which is about 10 minutes' drive away. Fresh seafood is available from the Inhambane Bay and on the beach by local divers. The towns of Inhambane and Maxixe are well worth a visit, and a dhow cruise on the Inhambane Bay is recommended.
