East Africa Safari Resort is situated on the scenic east coast of Mozambique, approximately 250 km north of Maputo. The resort is situated amongst a combination of coastal dunes and inland lakes, offering unique opportunities for bird-watching, quad biking, snorkelling, swimming, and spear fishing. During the winter months, East Africa Safaris is also an ideal location for whale-watching. The central location of the resort also makes it an ideal starting point for excursions in the area.
Accommodation is offered in self-catering casas and chalets, ranging between six- and 16- sleepers. The whole resort sleeps up to 150 guests. Clean water and 24-hour electricity are provided, as well as back-up generators in case of power outage. Ice, charcoal and boat and fishing licences are available at reception. A shopping service is also available, and a list of groceries can be bought and placed in your chalet, by prior arrangement.
In addition, East Africa Safaris offers an on-site restaurant and beach bar. The restaurant can set up to a 100 guests and has an a la carte menu specializing in seafood and pizzas. There is also a pool table, dart board and a big screen TV with DStv for all sports events, while the casual beach bar offers cold beer and cold drinks. The restaurant is also suitable for conferences or as a wedding venue. For guests' peace of mind, the resort offers 24-hour security and the guards man the entrances to the resort.
The safe swimming beach, ideal for kids, has a natural reef running all along the coast and forms a natural tidal pool at low tide. There are plenty of rock and surf fishing spots available and for the bird-lovers, there are many species of lake and coastal birds to be spotted.
Small and big boats, as well as jet-skis, can be launched from our safe launch site and tractor facilities are on offer to help with the launching of boats. Guests are welcome to bring their own quad bikes and snorkelling gear, and deep-sea fishing charters are also available.
