Elandskuil is situated in the farmlands on the outskirts of the stunning mountainous town of Steynsburg.The charming house has three bedrooms, accommodating seven guests, and one full bathroom. The living area consists of a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace, and a sprawling garden with a plunge pool and braai facilities (Braai packs are available for purchase on request and free fire-wood is supplied). The abode also offers guests laundry amenities, wheelchair accessibility and parking on the premises.Guests can enjoy a relaxing time on this working sheep farm, venture out on one of the many safe walking trails or bring their binoculars and cameras to enjoy and capture the abundance of bird-life. A complimentary game-drive is also offered to guests staying for more than one night.

We loved staying at Elandskuil. The house is very comfortable and transported me to another time. We enjoyed the most beautiful starry karoo night and woke up to wonderfull bird song. Thank you to our warm and friendly hosts who made sure we had everything we needed.

Green oasis in the Karoo by

A whole, huge old farmhouse to yourself full of antique things and typical farm adaptations. If you can handle things being a bit rickety, then this is for you.

Absolutley lovely by

The home is beautiful and you will rest very well in any of the guest rooms. Beds are lovely comfortable. Large home with large sitting room and huge windows that look into the garden. Our hosts treated us just like family. We fell in love with them easily and look forward to coming back to SA to visit again. The hospitality was over and above and this day was the highlight of my trip:) I have a photo from this day at Elandskuil on my wall.

We were warmly welcomed and our whole stay we were spoilt. Lots of fires available to braai and keep warm as well as the use of an awesome AGA Stove. We were given an opportunity to see the Orange / Fish River tunnel and also taken on a lovely game drive. The historical information of the whole area was so fascinating. Highly recommended.
