A warm welcome awaits you at Elianthe's Guest House. This charming Victorian building is approximately 180 years old, with original yellow-wood beams, sash windows with shutters, and offers excellent accommodation.

With six en-suite bedrooms, each with a private entrance leading onto the garden, this is the perfect place to catch your breath and stay for a while. Rooms features include a TV, a hairdryer, heating panel, and electric blankets in the winter. Start your day with a scrumptious breakfast on the terrace with breathtaking mountain views. Our Twin bedroom has wooden ceiling beams. En-suite bathroom (shower & toilet). This room is equipped with coffee & tea making facilities, electric kettle, refrigerated mini bar, heating panel, TV, hairdryer & wardrobe. Warm blanket is available.

This 1840 historical Swellendam home offers much character. From the front veranda, guests can overlook the town activities, while the back porch with vine overlooks the pool and big shady garden.

Very nice guesthouse. Lovely, neat rooms with everything you need. Superb freshly made breakfast with fresh fruit salad and home made croissants and muffins; nice hot breakfast (egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato) as well as cereals, toast, cheese, preserves etc. Great value for money. My only gripe is the size of the basin... It was tiny and difficult to manoeuvre a toothbrush or facecloth under the tap. Other than that everything was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would definitely recommend Elianthe and would definitely stay there again. Lovely pool area and garden to enjoy as well.

More than just for a stopp over by

We had a nice stay at Elianthe`s Guesthouse. The room was nice with a lot of space and the breakfast was tasty. Our son loved the swimming pool. And they had some swings in the garden. There is plenty of space to let the kids run. For our baby they organized a baby cot and a kids chair. During our stay there was a building site next to our room. Luckily we stayed in Swellendam on the weekend so there were no disturbances. The welcome was a little bit distanced but after two nights we had a very warm goodbye. All in all we can recommend this lovely place. We will come back again.
